As Mark begins to say his thanks to the people he works with, he can't
get it out because he's too emotional, and every time it ends up being
the other person thanking the both of them.

That last hour was hard to listen to from an emotional standpoint but
I think that's one of the things that I enjoyed while listening to M&B
over the past 14 years. They never held back with their emotions and
always shared with the listeners what was going on. Their honesty is
hard to come by in the radio business. 25 years gives you a lot of
time to cover the different aspects of life, from the birth of Mark's
children to the deaths of Mark's parents/sister and Brian's father.
It's sad to know that come Monday morning, they won't be there.

Without a doubt, I got a little blurry just like everyone in the room
with them.

I did well up until Mark started to thank Frank. Knowing Frank's
emotions would get the best of him, and then the few seconds of
silence, you didn't have to be in the room to understand what was
going on.

Same here. It is sort of one of those "It's not real until it is
real" things for me. I have enjoyed the hell out of their show for 25
years! It had its ups and downs but I suddenly realized that was it.
NO MORE new shows...

...and really I like their interaction and their take on life and
life's events more than any bit they do.

So... off to check out some podcasts in the future! :-)

Would you please direct me
Where I ought to be
I've been looking for a crystal ball
To shed the light
To find a future in me...

Even their worst shows were better than anything else on radio.
